Abstract (EN)
This study has been performed to find out the differences on leadership skills and in-service leadership training perceptions according to gender, age, management level and education level independent factors among the managers working in the glass industry organizations in Mersin province. The universe of this research consists of 204 managers. The whole universe of this research was reached and the questionnaires were delivered. 148 managers submitted the questionnaires. The percentages and the frequencies of the demographic datas obtained from the first part of the questionnaire were tabled. To find out the differences of leadership skills and in-service leadership training perceptions among the managers, the data obtained from the second and the third parts of the questionnarie were subjected to t-test, variance analysis (Anova), Scheffe and LSD tests. In this research the significance level is considered as p<0.05. The results of this research are; 1. In organizations the application done, the leadership skills and the in-service leadership training perceptions of female managers are generally higher than male managers. 2. Age independent factor does not make much senses on leadership skills and leadership training perceptions. 3. Increment on education level of the managers increases their perceptions related to the importance of in-service leadership training. 4. The perceptions of the managers on composing work circumstances based on trust among their subordinates and managing divisions in their units increase with the management level.
