Özet (EN)

Innovation is one of the most important competition means. To secure and sustain their competitive position the corporates often use this mean. However, to get the desired conclusion from innovation is largely related to determination and application of a correct innovation strategy. The leadership plays a key role in determination and application of the innovation strategy like in every management activity. From this point, to examine the relationship between leadership styles and innovation strategy was purposed in determining innovation strategies in this study by revealing the effect of leadership styles studied in modern leadership theories,The owners and general managers of four-star and five-star hotels in Ankara constitute the population of this research. In this research, it is aimed to reach to the whole population by using full enumerication sample method. The data was collected by questionnaires that consisted of phrases regarding innovation strategies, leadership styles and demographical features. The collected data was analyzed by analyze methods suitable for hyphothesis to be tested.In the research, the result that the offensive and oppurtunist innovation strategies of transformational leadership style, the defensive and imitator innovation strategies of Charismatic leadership style and transactional leadership style effect the traditional and imitator innovation strategies has been reached. Additionally, that the modern leadership approaches examined in the study don?t have an effect on the dependent innovation strategy has been reached within the researchKey Words: Innovation, Innovation Strategies, Leadership, Leadership Styles
