Abstract (EN)

It is not possible to detect when the economic crises would occur. But awareness to be increased by observing the changes occurring in the economic data of the countries would strengthen the predictions in case of a probable depression, make it easier to take action and finally may become a "guide" for taking precautions for the future. After January 24 Decrees in 1980 Turkey started to face more with "economic crises" concept. Based on this theoretical perspective, this thesis handles the concepts of economic crisis and conjunctural waves in theorital aspect and evaluate the crisis appear in Turkish economi. Conjunctural fluctuation periods of Turkish economy covered in scope of the common variables determined in theory and practice and the evaluations to be made through these periods would be helpful in better understanding of the fragilities of country's economy and the economy policy decisions to be taken for the future. At this point growth and per capita income course and unemployment, average inflation, current account deficit and foreign trade deficits and industrial production, real sector confidence and consumer confidence indexes would be advantageous. It is concluded that the successive conjunctural fluctuations occurred in periods of 6-8 years in Turkish economy when the economic course was observed.
