Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to understand the perception associated with the use of credit card experience on undergraduate students whose source of income is someone else. For this purpose, 30 semi-structured interviews are conducted with the under-graduate students who are from the faculties and collages of Anadolu University and state that they have never been worked for a living and using credit cards, and they are asked how they experience their credit cards, how they are feeling about their experience, what they think about their own credit card experience; and all of them are analyzed by descriptive analysis, according to how literature interprets similar experiences. According to the results of the research, it can be seen that the students use credits cards to keep their substantial conditions/status or to reach the desired status. While the students having their spending by credit cards, there seems to be an illusion ? because it is not as tangible as paying in cash- about how expensive was the product, how much has been spent, how much is left and how are become indebted at the end of spending. So in order to raise awareness, it is suggested that Personal Financial Management courses to be mandatory in our country.
