Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to delve into the importance of the conceptual art applications, their artistic principles and their place in the contemporary art and education in graduate art education programs especially in Drawing workshops. The participants of the research are the graduate students at three universities ( Dokuz Eylul University, Çukurova University, and Anadolu University ). The data gathering instruments are semi-structured interviews encompassing the questions and thoughts of the graduate students on the conceptual art applications in the Art Departments of Graduate Schools of these three universities. These semi-structured questions were designed after a thorough analysis of the related literature and the interviews were held either through in-person or some means of communication through email. As a result, it can be stated that the graduate art classes are conducted through a traditional teacher-centred approach and workshops are not adequate in terms of the conceptual art applications. The study concludes with suggestions and recommendations. Key words: Graduate art education, epistemology, analytic philosophy, conceptual art.
