The effect of academical self concept and attidude on succes in the rule of central İzmir 9. grade high school students on konak town İzmir city basis

THE EFFECT OF ACADEMICAL SELF CONCEPT AND ATTITUDE ON SUCCESSIN THE RULE OF CENTRAL IZMIR 9. GRADE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONKONAK TOWN IZMIR CITY BASIS-FATMA DERYA SEV LM ŞABSTRACTOne of the main problems of education today is not able to change the attitude ofstudents during the year. Because of this to change this situation is more valuable every dayand the steps are lightening on education. With this reason on this research mentioned ; it hasbeen examined whether the self attitude and academical self concept is related with thesuccess of the 9.grade students or not. To do that a inquiry test which is formed from 38attitude sentences, has been performed to 190 students. The test which is named ?GeographyRelated Attitudes? who is performed on Texas University Geography students was based thistest primarily. The next level on the was to prove the validity and reliability of the test ,reduce with building a 5 termed Likert scale with totally 22 attitude sentences. It has alsofounded the Cronbach-Alfa measurement as 0,849 belonging to this attitude scale.The basis example group of this research is consisted from the 230 9.grade students ofNaci Şensoy, Erkan Özcan and Konak Anadolu Highschools which is located on Konak Townof Izmir.The consideration of the data has been made by T-Test,Anova and Scheffe analysis.The result of the research shows that the attitude of the Students to Geography Lesson has ameaningful difference with the gender and the High school type; but on the other hand it hasnot related with success at the Geography lesson with the parental education level.But the academical self concept is not related even the gender, school type , successand parental educational on a meaningful different base.
