Özet (EN)
This research is focused on the determining of the problems of licensed soccer players with respect to their sports club, family and school life during their high school educational period. The population is 172 state secondary education school, under the Ministry of National Education, in the 25 district of Ankara. The sample group is formed by 14 state secondary education school which are selected randomly from within the population. 382 licensed soccer player has been reached from this sample group. In this research, for collecting data, questionnaire was used as the surveying instrument. The analyses of the data were done by resorting to SPSS 16.0 Programme. Descriptive statistics was conducted for the demographics of the participants. Cross tabulations of the problems of participants were given with reference to the specified variables. The correlation among the variables were checked over by chi-square test.Research results; It was determined that, majority of them are sixteen-seventeen year-old third grader high school students, mostly living with their families. Looking at the educational situation and occupation of their parents; it became evident that their parents were graduated from high school (secondary education), and while the fathers of most are self-employed, the mothers of most are unemployed housewives. It appeared that the majority of the participants make sports actively for 4 to 8 years, most play either in Super Amateur or in 1. Amateur League, and majority of them do not attend to national teams. It was observed that, it was firstly their parents and then their entourage who encouraged them heading towards soccer. It is seen that most of these soccer player students workout for 3 to 5 days per a week, and 1-3 hours per a day. Majority of them also play for their school teams.Considering the problems of soccer players with respect to their family life, it is found that their families are concerned about their education, health conditions, and future professional career. Considering the problems with respect to their sports club, it is assessed that their courses at school prevent them to attend their training sessions and sports contests. It was seen that the sports clubs these students are affiliated with, do not provide them assistance in monetary terms. Focusing on the problems with respect to their school life, it appears that training sessions and sports contests have a negative impact on their lessons, and instructors of other courses then physical education take a dim view of them being a soccer player. These students have concerns about whether one day they should be forced to sacrifice their sports life for their education, or vice versa.
