It is seen that augmented reality, which is an interesting technology that enriches the real world with virtual objects visually, can be used in many unimaginable areas and may be in new areas in the future. As a matter of fact, in the studies examined, it has been seen that augmented reality technologies have many positive contributions especially to entertainment and attractiveness to all fields in which it is included. In addition to adding new values to these areas, it has been observed that in some applications, financial savings can be achieved through the support of three-dimensional visualization. Numerous studies on augmented reality in education have been examined. Although some examples of application development have been found in these studies, there have been mostly research studies. As a result of the research studies, it has been seen that this technology has positive contributions to the education and training environment. However, struggling with many questions in Turkey, we remain far behind in national and international science teaching and research we could not find sufficient work for complex subjects Physics and Chemistry at the high school level. There is no doubt that such a talented technology can break new ground with the right application examples to be prepared in science teaching as it is in all areas where research and studies are subject. In this thesis, it is thought that with the positive effect of the use of augmented reality technologies in science teaching especially in Physics and Chemistry courses, it is possible to obtain valuable contributions in terms of academic success, motivation, attitudes towards the courses and interest. In this context, two three-dimensional mobile augmented reality applications called physAR and ARchemist have been developed by using Unity 3D game engine and Vuforia augmented reality library. It is considered that these exemplary applications will shed light on new ideas in science teaching, will lead to the development of more advanced applications in this field and when all these come together, the problems of science education as a country will be overcome and the path of technological and economic development will be opened.
