Abstract (EN)

In this study; It was aimed to determine the attitude of the students preparing for the High School Access System exam towards Science course and their exam concern levels. It was studied whether there is a meaningful link between students' attitudes towards science course and their exam concern. In this study, the link between trial exam success and students' attitudes towards science course and their exam concern was also examined. The "relational scanning model," one of the general scanning models, was utilized in this quantitative study."Science Attitude Scales"comprised of 12 points and "Exam Concern Scales" consisting of 34 items were utilized as data collection tools. The universe of this study consists of a total of 398 students studying in special courses, including 100 in Maltepe, 107 in Pendik and 191 in Kartal, the central districts of Istanbul province. According to the findings of the study, it was seen that the students' attitudes towards the Science course and their exam anxiety were at a moderate level. It was concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between the attitude towards the science course and the practice exams. It has been observed that students who have positive attitudes towards the science course are more successful in the practice exams. It has been observed that there is a significant and negative relationship between exam anxiety level and practice exams. It has been observed that students with high exam anxiety have low success in practice exams, and students with low test anxiety have higher success in practice exams. It was found that there was a low, significant and positive relationship between students' attitudes towards the Science course and their exam anxiety levels. There was no significant difference between the students' attitudes towards the Science course and their test anxiety levels with the gender factor.
