Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the relationship between the two in light of the data collected using the Digital Addiction Scale and the Five-Factor Personality Scale in high school students. In addition, important findings were made regarding the relationship between digital addiction and five-factor personality traits in terms of age, gender, grade, parental education level, number of siblings, time spent on digital devices and the purpose of using digital devices in the personal information form created by the researcher. The Digital Addiction Scale for Adolescents and Young People consisting of 10 questions, the Five-Factor Personality Inventory consisting of 50 questions and the Personal Information Form created by the researcher were used as data collection tools. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum) and parametric tests were applied in these analyses. As a result of the Digital Addiction Scale for Adolescents and Young People Reliability Analysis, the reliability coefficient was determined as, 838. This rate shows that the scale is reliable. As a result of the Big Five-50 Personality Test Turkish Scale Reliability Analysis, the reliability coefficient was determined as , 717. This rate shows that the Five-factor personality scale is reliable.
