Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the relationship between attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, internet addiction and alexithymia in high school students. For this purpose, Sociodemographic Data Form, Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Self-Report Scale, Young Internet Addiction Test Short Form and Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAO-26) were applied to 119 participants in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students attending Private Maltepe Ugur Schools. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a significant relationship between ADHD, alexithymia and internet addiction in high school students. As children's and adolescents' ADHD levels increases, their alexithymia levels also increased, with both alexithymia and ADHD being associated with emotional recognition and identification difficulty, as well as internet addiction.
