Investigation of the potential effect of the self ficture owned in high school students on the perceped social support

"What kind of person am I?" While the sum of these answers reflects the self-perception of the human, the part that is realistic constitutes the real structure of the self rather than the perception. And the cultural structure of society is of great importance in the self-formation of people. The self-construct that is the subject of our research differs according to the individualist and collectivist structures in the society. While the autonomous self-construct is seen in the western societies with individualist structure, the relational self-construct is observed in the societies with the socialist structure. In the Western literature, the autonomous self is reflected as the ideal self to be, and the tendency of people towards autonomy is tried to be increased. However, Çiğdem KAĞITÇIBAŞI stated that these two self-constructs are not two opposite poles and that people can have a place between these two dimensions and put forward the "Autonomous-Relational" self-construct. Another subject within the subject of the research is the perception of social support. The perception of people who are social assets and who need the support of other people in every aspect of life is very important for their psychological and physical health. Our country has a different cultural structure compared to western societies, so studies on self-construct should be done in every segment of the society. However, there has not been enough study on self-regulation in our country, so the concepts of self-regulation and social support perception have been examined in this study and the related literature has been studied. In the research, the relationship between the two basic variables mentioned above and various demographic variables was examined. In addition, the predictive effect of self-construct on social support perception was examined and it was determined that relational self-construct had a predictive effect on social support perception.
