Abstract (EN)
This study is a relationally prepared study to determine the power of negative automatic thoughts and self-esteem levels of high school students to predict their decision-making difficulties in terms of their choice of profession. The population of the study consists of adolescents attending high school in Burdur in 2016-2017 academic year. The participants of the study were from high schools in these centers; It consists of selected volunteer students attending 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades of Science High School, Anatolian High School and Anatolian Vocational High Schools. In this scope, it has been folded for a total of 425 high school students whose ages are 14-17 years old and 213 of them are girls and 212 of them are boys. This research aims to investigate the relationship between self-esteem and self-esteem of individuals' career decision making difficulties. In this study, it was also determined whether career decision-making difficulties at high school level differ according to gender, parental education level, perceived achievement level, class level and high school. Prior to the study, Decision Making Difficulties Scale (CVSQ), Automated Thoughts Scale (SRS), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RISQ) and questionnaire were used in the research. Multiple linear regression and independent t test method for data analysis. Accordingly, negative automatic thoughts predict career thinking and positive thinking and meaningful thinking negative self-esteem level and significant predictions were obtained.
