Özet (EN)

In this research it is sought to study the relationship between the prosocial behavior level among high school students and their humor, shyness, anger levels. In this research, the interactional survey model is used in order to investigate the similarities and differences on specific psychological traits (humor, shyness, anger) of the high school students. According to it, data is collected separately from the school that are determined in advance, it is analyzed and the findings are documented in the result part of this study.Four separate scales are used in order to measure the prosocial behavior, humor, shyness, anger levels. These are: Positive Social Behavior Scale, Humor in Adolescence Scale, Multi-Dimensional Anger Scale and Shyness Scale. Positive Social Behavior Scale is adopted by Kumru (2004) and its reliability is .80. Humor in Adolescence Scale is developed by Oral (2004) and its reliability is .89. Multidimensional Anger Scale is developed by Hisli and Balkaya (2003) and its measurement reliability is .93. Shyness Scale is developed by Güngör and its reliability is .91.The research is carried out in two phase. In the first phase, the high school students in 9th, 10th and 11th classes are chosen by random sampling and the scales are administered to a total of 104 students. Analysis for the validity and reliability of scale measurements are performed and total of 452 students from five schools who are in 9th, 10th and 11th classes are drawn as the sample of research and they are investigated according to the variables of this research.VIThe findings indicate that there is a low level, positive and meaningful relationship between the prosocial behavior and the three variables (humor, anger, shyness). It is observed that gender, age, mother?s educational level, number of siblings and birth order do not influence the relationship between the prosocial behavior and humor, anger, shyness, Whereas father?s educational level effect the relationship between the prosocial behavior and humor variables. Proposals are presented for development of prosocial behaviors under the light of these findings.
