Abstract (EN)

The lobbying activities have become more prominent and visible with the gradual enlargement of the European Union. Due to prevent the decision process to be adversely affected against the general interest and also to protect European citizen confidence, the Union has taken a series of recommendations to conduct an open, transparent and structured dialogue as declared in his codes of conduct.Although democratic and civil participation are encouraged, in terms of examination of these activities, the conglomerates are perceived truly active and affect the decision process. The question is whether lobbying is another tool of political and economical power, even a privilege of the Union to provide to the benefit of the interest groups distinguished or these activities are against to European civil society and a threat for the democracy. The decision making process and thereafter, a sample of structures lobby groups have been examined to define the relationship between lobbying and democracy.
