Abstract (EN)

Today?s enviromental concerns, constantly changing requirements, greater international competitions, increasing system complexity, extended system life cycle, greater utilization of commercial off the shelf products, increasing globalization, more outsourcing, multiple suppliers, eroding indstruial bases, higher overall life cycle cost and highly competitive markets place greater emphasis on the customer satisfaction over all entire life cycle of the system than any other periods in the history. These requirements have brought about definition of the logistic resources needs early in the product design phase. The design of the end items ,and the systems for supportability and the reduced cost of ownership have placed a new demand as definition of the logistic support resources on the companies, logisticians, managers, academicians and practitioners responsible for developing future workforce. This study has examined effects of logistic support analysis on the product, customer and market and awareness stage about logistic support process among defence industrial companies. The research has clarified that if logistic support analysis process is used in a sound method and timely manner, it is quite effective on the time, cost, availability, reliability and safety effectiveness. It has also been found out that this effectiveness is possible using customer and supportability desing requirements as an input at the concept phase of the product design phase in order to define all necessary basic logistic elements in a sound manner. These basic elements are logistics, maintenance tasks and planning , support personnel, supply support, technical data, packaging, handling, storage and transportation, training, maintenance and support facilities and utilities, test, measurement, handling, support equipment and customer support requirements and reverse logistics. All these factors make it possible for the right product to be at the right place on time.
