Selection of logistics center location in Yalova in terms of logistics center selection criteria

As world trade becomes global, the scale of trade between countries and institutions has grown and competition has increased. Increased competition and diminishing dividends, lowering logistics costs and accelerating processes are all in question. One of the ways in which logistics services are developed is to increase the number of multi-port, railway and maritime transport. Logistics centers have been used for years as facilities that support the development of logistics all over the world. In the study, compatibility with logistics centers and logistics centers in Yalova, Turkey has been studied in the fields. With the impact of globalization, the need for multimodal transportation systems in logistics has increased with the intensity in foreign trade. The coordination of multimodel transport is closely related to the logistics centers of operation. According to the recent research; need of logistics centre has became a necessity in Marmara Region, especially for the growing export and import trade between Turkey and European Countries. Istanbul, Bursa and Kocaeli should be supported by integrated logistics services. The production capacity should be considered in a comprehensive way in the cities which are the main and secondary hubs of logistics which becomes very important for our country. With the establishment of a logistics center in Yalova, where import and export volume is low, it is seen that the cities such as Istanbul and Bursa will reduce the traffic of foreign investors. However, at the following stage, it has been determined that there are deficiencies such as a lack of the number of producers and insufficient work force. Yalova, which is estimated to come under the logistics centre application is still supportive actor in the Marmara Region. With increasing trade in the future, the role of national and international freight transport will become important railway and multimodal transport systems. In line with all these criteria, a possible logistic center in Yalova is examined by considering the locations of all the districts of Yalova.
