72 8. SUMMARY Logistic regression analysis and its application in health sciences. In our study, logistic regression analysis, methods of estimation. Odds Ratio, Goodness of fit and methods of variable selection are explained. Forward variable selection method and backward elemination method are applied to cardiologic data containing contimous and discrete variables and the best logistic model which determines coronery artery disease have been found.
