Abstract (EN)

Turkey is a transfer center between east and west. This situation presents Turkey an opportunity for being one of the most important bases in the world. Due to changing economic conditions and the increasing importance of information technology, logistics industry in our country is developing rapidly. Of course the effect of modern management concepts in the development of logistic industry is enormous.In this study, the principles of implementing business process management as a modern management approach, in the field of a public corporation serving aviation logistics is indicated.The first part of this project emphasizes the definitions of process, process management and the evolution of process management. Steps of process management are detailed in the following part.In the second part definitions related to logistics are given, and a general review of the logistics industry in our country and the world was made. Then the principles of logistics management are discussed.The aim of the study is to find the problems arise in an organization which is applying process management during the logistics activities, and to make recommendations to managers.For this purpose, current publications and written sources are examined. With the help of obtained information, interviews were conducted face to face, prepared a group of questions were asked to the staff. Results and recommendations were forwarded to managers.
