Abstract (EN)

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network formed by connecting objects to the internet and enabling them to communicate with each other. IoT systems allow various devices to collect, share, and analyse data. LoRaWAN, on the other hand, is a wireless communication protocol used in IoT communication systems. LoRaWAN is ideal for applications that require low data rates and long-range coverage, thanks to its low power consumption and wide coverage area. In this system, low-power and long battery life LoRaWAN nodes send data to LoRaWAN gateways. The gateways collect and forward the data to a centralized network for routing. The data is then processed in the LoRaWAN network server and sent to the application server. This enables long-range and energy-efficient communication between IoT devices, making it suitable for various industry applications. In this thesis, the details and modulation analysis of LoRaWAN technology, which has a long range and low power consumption in the Internet of Things ecosystem, are reviewed. The network architecture, energy consumption classifications, participation procedures, forms of data packets, security definitions and regional classifications of the LoRaWAN protocol are explained in detail. By establishing a network of gateways and sensors developed with the protocol that is the subject of the study, monitoring was provided. By evaluating the findings obtained from various models and series, performance analysis of LoRaWAN technology and the products that emerged within the possibilities it offers were made.
