The anatomy of religious-political formation in Lebanon: Hezbollah

In the Middle East, Lebanon is one of the countries suffering from instability due to the reasons sourced by both ethnicity and various numbers of religions problems since its freedom has been gained. Its political posture is considerably weak. It has nottaken any decision by itself neither in domestic politics nor in foreign affairs for decades. Although it has determined a policy against foreign interference, Lebanon has been unable to implement that policy because of involvement of Syria after 2005. Lebanon has always been in the middle of chaos because of having various ethnic and religious groups? conflicts; hence it had to deal with domestic problems, which resulting Lebanon to be unable to become active in foreign affairs. Lebanon has also overcome sanctions imposed by external powers. Lebanon is struggled with occupations, wars and rebellions in every period of its history. Occupations of Israel and radical groups and lack of socio-economic infrastructure and occupations has caused to birth a reaction effective in Lebanon politics and its social structure for long years.Hezbollah who has been supported by less than fifty percent in Lebanon was included in political system by gaining seats in national parliament. Although it was recognized by the government at the beginning and was regarded as reason of the instability in the country, Hezbollah has made reputation with his success to fight against Israel and gained full support of government which was founded in 2009. In that course, Lebanon has changed its route toward Iran and Syria and showed no tolerance anymore Israeli invasion.In the first section; substantionally, it was given place to the information related to Lebanon history and politics. In the second section, it was covered on the stages experienced by Hezbollah emanating form the social structure and its politicization as resistance organization.
