Abstract (EN)

Societies have had common feelings from various periods and as a result of these common feelings, various types of literature have emerged. It is one of the important literary genres created by Minstrel Literature. The minstrels, wandering around the city with their instruments in their hands, announced the innovations that occurred on the ground to the public, became the voice of the great disasters experienced by the people on the ground, and shouted the joy and happiness of the people on the ground with the melodies and tunes created by their instruments. That's why the minstrel, as one of the people, continues to adapt to basic technology in today's conditions without succumbing to time. We see that the historical background of Minstrel Literature cannot be reached before centuries due to its speed. Unfortunately, the lives and works of these public minstrels, of which there were many illiterate people, could not find a place in the works of highly educated classical poets. M. Fuad Köprülü, who made the first studies on the minstrel style, reveals the difficulty of his analysis by talking about this feeling of hatred in his article series published in İkdam newspaper. There is a great deficiency in the translation of these articles, which are the first studies on Minstrel Literature, into Latin Letters. The field of our study was prepared to eliminate this great deficiency. İkdam newspaper, one of the most important newspapers published in the press, also contains Folk Literature articles about the tradition of minstrelsy, along with this series of articles by Köprülü. In our study, these articles were also translated in Latin Letters. Our study consists of two main parts, and the first part covers the life and works of M. Fuad Köprülü. The second part of our study can be devoted to examining these articles. The original text of this article, without simplification, is in Annex-A; The original texts are presented in Annex-B.
