In this study, it was aimed to investigate and evaluate the relationship between impulsivity and diffuculties in emotion regulation in patients with substance use disorder treatment. The assessment of the association was made by comparing the inpatient treated substance use disorder with the psychologically healthy control group. The data obtained in the research were collected using the Barratt Impulsivity Scale-11 and the Emotion Regulation Ability Scale. To evaluate the data obtained from the research; In the comparison of the quantitative data, the Student's t-test was used for two group comparisons and the Mann-Whitney U test was used for two group comparisons of the variables without normal distribution as well as descriptive statistical methods (mean, standard deviation, median, frequency, ratio, minimum, maximum). Pearson Chi-square test comparison of qualitative data and Fisher Freeman Halton test Spearman correlation analysis in evaluating the inter-variable relationships were used. As a result of the research, the relationship between substance use disorder and impulsivity is determined. Individuals with diffuculties in emotion regulation have a tendency to substance use disorder problem. Positive directional correlation is also found between impulsivity and diffuculties in emotion regulation.
