Abstract (EN)

In terms of occupational health and safety, mining activities take place at the beginning of the sectors that are vital risks for the employees. A comprehensive risk analysis should be conducted to eliminate occupational accidents, which are generally experienced in mining, and the necessary safety measures should be taken according to the results of this analysis. This study proposes a semi-numerical method for the analysis and evaluation of risks related to the main sources of danger in mining. In the study, first of all, risk analysis methods which are used in mining and which are likely to be used are determined. The failure mode and effects analysis, event tree analysis and checklists were used as sample risk analysis models. In order to obtain a new risk score formula, two parameters ranging from one to ten degrees were introduced, with the exception of the severe parameter, "work accident probability score" and "current work security score". As a result of the surveys conducted in our country considering the example of five different companies producing coal and metal mine under different working conditions "work accident probability score", "severe" and "current OHS score" coefficients of parameters; arithmetic average, logarithm and regression analysis. As a result of these coefficients, a new risk score formula was determined. With this data, we developed a risk analysis software which is thought to be used efficiently in the field of occupational health and safety in the mining sector by using Java software language. The developed software was implemented in two different closed operations with different operating conditions in the production of coal and metal mining.
