Evaluation of the relationship between alevism sunnism in the context of neighborhood pressure Malatya sample

This research, which aims to examine whether there is any pressure in the context of the neighborhood pressure on each other in the social life of people, belonging to the Alevi and Sunni beliefs living in the Malatya province center, ,consists of three parts. The first part, which includes the conceptual and theoretical part of the research; The function of the neighborhood in historical process, entering of the neighborhood pressure into Turkey's agenda, the use of eye as a means of pressure, and formed within framework of the neighborhood pressure's impact on community, the group and individuals. In the second part, the issues of belief, identity and ethnic structure were examined considering various studies. In social life, different belief groups have assessed issues of Alevis and Sunnis' exclusion and oppression that they have applied to each other in places such as faith, worship differences, identity. In the third part of the study, the Alevi and Sunni participants living in the center of Malatya were examined taken from the perspective of interpreting social science by using the interview method in terms of their beliefs,thoughts, race, ethnicity and sense of belonging to an identity, perception and interpretation of eachother and situations they faced. In the conclusion section; it is theoretically evaluated in terms of findings, whether Alevis and Sunni participants exerted pressure on each other in their social relations.
