Studying Mahmut Toptaş's Qur'an interpretation in terms of its methodology

In this study Mahmut Toptaş's Şifa Tafsir (Interpretation of Healing) has been evaluated under the title Analysis of Mahmut Toptaş's Şifa Tafsir (Interpretation) in terms of its methodology. Our study is composed of five chapters including an introduction part, three main parts and a conclusion part. In Introduction Part, the life of Mahmut Toptaş, his personality as a scholar his previous works and the scholarly stages he experienced before writing his Qur'an Interpretation (Şifa Tafsir). In addition, appreciation for the work and the story of the name of the work is given. In the First Chapter, Toptaş's study is analysed in terms of the method of evaluating of the Qur'anic verses from the point of heresay and sagacity (dirayat and riwayat interpretations). In the Second Chapter, the work is examined in terms of Qur'anic sciences. The different interpretations and the meanings used as symbolic concepts which Toptaş stated in his work is studied. The interpretations he made through his specific style has differentiated him from other exegetes. In the Third Chapter, his work is examined in terms of methodology. Toptaş's work has been discussed in terms of the way he uses the sources he has interpreted, the method of examining the verses in terms of heresay and sagacity In Conclusion Chapter, a general evaluation of the work has been made.
