Maḳaş Bėk Muḥammedof's Caḳsi Ügit (introduction, analysis, text, index)

This thesis is based on the manuscript called Maḳaş Bėk Muḥammedof's Caḳsı Ügit (Introductıon-Analysıs-Text-Index) written by Muhambetjan Soltirulı Bekmuhambetov in the 19th century. The text, which has 8 texts in total, consisting of 2 stories, 6 of which are jir and translation from the Russian language, consists of 1 cover page and 24 pages with texts. In the language of the works published in the field of Turkestan in the 19th century, which was a transition period, when a regular written language was not yet formed, the continuing influence of the language features of Chagatai Turkish and the linguistic features of Turkish dialects are seen for various reasons. The work named "Caḳsı Ügit", which is the subject of our thesis, is important in terms of reflecting the language characteristics of the period and the examples of Kazakh oral literatüre In this thesis provides valuable materials to researchers in terms of reflecting the language characteristics of a certain period in the development history of contemporary Kazakh Turkish. In particular, the vocabulary elements and language features other than the contemporary Kazakh literary language encountered in the text language are important in terms of illuminating a certain period of the contemporary Kazakh Turkish language history, revealing the similarities and differences between today's Kazakh literary language and its texts. Thesis consists of introduction, review, text-transfer and index main chapters Before the introduction part of the study, information was given about the purpose, scope, importance of the research and the method followed in the research. In the introduction the author and his work are introduced, and information is given about the author's life, works and his work, which is the subject of our thesis. The linguistic analysis includes spelling, phonetic and morphological information. In the spelling section, the spelling of vowels and consonants is emphasized. It can be said that there is no coherent text in terms of spelling, and often the same word is written in different forms. In the Phonology chapter vowel and consonant harmonies, sound events and sound changes are discussed. It has been observed that there are examples where the thickness-thinness harmony is regular but the flatness-roundness harmony is preserved, as well as examples that do not enter the flatness-roundness harmony in some word bases and affixes. In the morphology chapter the grammatical structure of the text has been examined with titles and examples such as construction and inflectional suffixes, verb conjugations, case suffixes, use of compound verbs and nouns in the predicate task. In the text-translation section, the transcription and translation of the text were made. Spelling errors are written as footnotes under the text. In the index chapter the grammatical index of the words in the text was created. The words were tried to be interpreted in the context of the text, and many cultural expressions, borrowed words and obsolete terms were encountered.
