Abstract (EN)

Aims of this study are detection of subclinical mastitis ratio of cows in Arguvan province in city of Malatya and reveal of interaction between this ratio and some breeding parameters such as genus, age, number of lactation, milk yield and hygiene of milking. We also investigate the correlation of the California Mastitis Test (CMT) with somatic cell count (SCC) and electrical resistance of milk (ERM). As a working material 2.596 mammary lobe east which belong 649 heads of different breeds of cows are selected between March of 2013 and May of 2013 from Arguvan province of Malatya city. CMT has been applied to milk samples of all animals. In addition of CMT, SCC has been applied to 477 mammary lobe and ERM has been applied to 652 lobes. According to our outcomes 51,77% of cows and 28,04% of udder quarters had positive results of CMT. CMT ratio was higher in Yerli Kara breed, 21-25 kg daily milk yield group, milking with machine group and animals with troubled birth or placental retention history at the same time CMT ratio was lower with animals in 0-2 months period of lactation and farms with good milking hygiene. In addition, we observed a statistically positive correlation between CMT, SCC and ERM. Consequently, high CMT ratio shows that subclinical mastitis is an important disorder for the region. We also showed that CMT and SCC can be used alone for subclinical mastitis diagnose but ERM don't give enough information for diagnose and needs help of other methods to achieve correct diagnose.
