Abstract (EN)

Aim: Anger, hurt, frustration, It is defined as the aggression shown by people in situations. Anxiety is an excessive amount of long-term anxiety felt by people. The foods people consume affect their mood, behavior and social relations. Material and method: The universe of this study, which is a descriptive cross-sectional study, consists of individuals over the age of 18 who applied to the Nutrition Consultancy Unit of Malatya Battalgazi District Health Directorate between 01.08.2018-01.12.2018. The sample size was calculated as 225 with the formula n = (1.64) 2.0.3.0.7 / (0.05) 2 using the unknown sample calculation method. 80% of the sample was reached. Results: The average age of the people in the study group is 36.99 ± 12.94. 25.6% of the people participating in the study are men and 74.4% are women. The anxiety levels of women are significantly higher than the anxiety levels of men (p <0.05).The anger control sub-dimension mean score of those who consumed butter several times a year was significantly higher than those who consumed every fifteen days, once twice a week, three or five times a week, every day and every meal (p <0.05). Conclusion: In this study, it was concluded that more than half of the individuals had anxiety disorders and consumption of margarine, eggs, tea and fresh vegetables affected the anxiety rate.
