Thoughts on crisis therapy religious spiritual counseling and care

The purpose of the study dealing with spiritual support in overcoming crisis situations in spiritual counseling and guidance is to support the person to overcome his/her current situation via the correct positioning of God's conceptions and levels of existence. Having the fundamental question, ''Is there a correlation between the individual's coping with the crises that he/she goes through and the scope of God's conceptions and levels of existence'', the research focuses on forming the conceptions of God within the framework of Islamic doctrine. It is understood that the positive or negative limited conceptions of God classified in the literature fail in dealing with the events, so ''names and attributes theory'' of Muhyiddin Ibn 'Arabi has been proposed for a correct conception of God. In studies it is found that seeing God solely as an element of "love" brings about simple spirituality, while supporting the 'theory of names and attributes' by showing that all aspects of God must be accepted together, the unknowable aspect of God in the archetypal form of God in Jung and in the rank of ahâdiyyah in Ibn Arabi is a mental process that one must have. On the other hand in Ken Wilber, talking about the layers of consciousness, the 'real self', coming into contact with the consciousness of tawhid that turns into universal mind in Ken Wilber, whom Charles Tart calls observation, takes its place in the levels of existence mentioned by Muhyiddin Ibn 'Arabi as a result of its relationship with the authority of ahadiyyah. This determines the proximity and distance of the person to the subtle feelings and enables her to evaluate the events that happen to her in life with these feelings. The research, carried out with the documentary scanning method, showed that individuals' perceptions of the "correct conception of God and levels of existence" are effective in overcoming crises. It has been found that those who conceive of God as Transcendent and Intrinsic form the God image, which is a mainstay in difficult times, in times of crisis, and show competence in dealing with these events. In addition, as the person rise in the levels of existence by removing curtains, the person will get closer to Allah and will evaluate difficult times as an opportunity.
