Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to investigate the influence of spiritual intelligence on the meaning of life and life satisfaction. In order to collect data about participants' age, gender, SES and, fother-mother attitudes, demographical Information Form, to determine the level of spiritual intelligence, meaning and satisfaction in the life was used integrated spiritual intelligence by Amram and Dryer (2008), meaning of life by Steger, Fraizer, Oishi and Kaler (2006) and life satisfaction scale by Diener, Emmons, Larsen and Griffin (1985). The scale involves 83 items with long form and 45 items with short form and it has 22 subscales. The psychometric properties of the scale were investigated by confirmatory factor analysis. The values of fit indice (x²= 724.94, sd= 199, RMSEA= .084, CFI= .94, IFI= .94, NFI= .92) were found and they gives a good fit indice values. According to these results, it can be say that the spiritual intelligence scale is reliable and valid in the area of psychology, education and the other social sciences. Totally 388 Particaipants were selected from The University of Sakarya, Bülent Ecevit, Boğaziçi and soma graduate students who were living in Kocaeli and İstanbul. Data was analyzed by SPSS 20.0 statistical program on the internet. Some analyzes were used in order to accept some results via researche's data. Some of them are; descriptive statistics for demographical information, t test analyze for difference according to level of dependent and independent samples, correlation analyze and regression analyze between spiritual intelligence, meaning of life and life satisfaction. In the result of analyze, some conclusions were accepted that there is a relation among spiritual intelligence and its subdimensions such as meaning, grace, conscious, trust and transcendence. The highest correlation is between spiritual intelligence and transcendence with the value of . 933. However is was found that there is positive correlation among spiritual intelligence, meaning of life and life satisfaction with the value of . 365 and . 219. In the result of regression analyze the influence of spiritual intelligence on the meaning of life was found as .133 and on the life satisfaction was found as .048. The results were interpreted and discussed. Some suggestions were presented for psychological counseling and guidance and psychological services in the education. Some advices were presented for researchers will study on the spiritual intelligence. Key Words: Spirituality, Spiritual Intelligence, Scale, Reliability And Validity, Confirmatory Factor Analysis
