Abstract (EN)
In this study, 15 artifacts in the Ethnography section of Manisa Museum were examined. Inventory information and measurements of the artifacts in the ethnography warehouse were taken and photographed. In addition, by giving information about the geographies where coffee has spread since its discovery, the importance given to coffee consumption in the Ottoman Period has been emphasized. Coffee is a consumable that goes through many processes during preparation and presentation. In this context, after examining the course of coffee in history, the processes it goes through during the preparation and presentation stages are explained. In the catalog section, the artifacts related to coffee culture in the Ethnography Depot of Manisa Museum are examined in terms of material, function and ornamentation features. In the evaluation and conclusion section, the similarities and differences between the artifacts in the catalog and the artifacts in other museum catalogs and auction pages are compared.
