Evaluation of Mardin/Elbegendi Village (Kafro Village) within the scope of cultural heritage tourism and investigation of tourist behavior

The varioutiy of tuorism,the attractive side of destination and the preferences of tourists make essential that tourism is going to change day by day. Tourism doesn't mean only "Sea" and "Beach". Today it contains cultural tourism. Turkey has got a lot of cultural facilities. One of them is the village of "KAFRO" which located the southeast of Mardin in Turkey. Kafro village is one of an Assyria village in the region of Tur Abidin. In recent times Kafro is visited by a lot of tourists for not only being a cultural heritage but also it has got a pizza restourant. In our studying we want to determined that the effect of Assyria culture, the texture of historical and the role of pizza house's effect on improving "Kafro Village" as a tourist region. Besides this we also discussed the problems which tourists encounter during their visiting. These problems accur because of the historical substructure of village and the transportation of village. In this direction we make a survey among tourists who have visited Kafro village once times before. We concluded that Kafro village is especially visited by who educated well and most of the visiters are public employee. We learned that the first reason of visiting Kafro village is pizza house but for second time of reason for visiting Kafro village is the Culture of Assyria. We also concluded that Kafro village is unwellknown because of transportation of village, the structure of road and the lack of various tourist attractions and destinations . Contrary this we determined that pizza house is pressured not only by its various tastes but also its price.
