Abstract (EN)

Mario Levi, known having the place of İstanbul at the center of his novels and stories, literally enters the world of literature with a story. Bir Şehre Gidememek, his first story book, brings Levi Haldun Taner Story Award. The story books of Madem Floridis Dönmeyebilir and En Güzel Aşk Hikâyemiz follow that book. Levi who wrote short stories in the first years of his writing wins Yunus Nadi Novel Award with his novel, İstanbul Bir Masaldı, in 1999. After Levi writes İstanbul Bir Masaldı he writes Lunapark Kapandı, Karanlık Çökerken Neredeydiniz, İçimdeki İstanbul Fotoğrafları, Size Pandispanya Yaptım, Bu Oyunda Gitme Vardı and Yanlış Tercihler Mahallesi. Levi returns to write story with his book, Bir Cümlelik Aşklar, twenty five years later. Apart from Levi's novels and story book, he has a study book (Bir Yalnız Adam Jacques Brel) and an essay book (Bir Yaz Yağmuruydu). Levi's novels and stories, which are in search of a different style in every new novel and story, benefit from all the possibilities of postmodernism. The events of the past in İstanbul and in the novels in which the minority people are mostly involved are described with the feeling of dissipation in the face of a minority. In this process, trying to put forth the value of today's beauty without sticking to the past. Keywords: Mario Levi, novel, story, postmodernism, minority, İstanbul
