Abstract (EN)
In this short documentary film that is called "Maryam's Eyes", I narrated the story of Maryam Şahinyan's life. Maryam Sahinyan was the first woman studio photographer of Turkey and her archive which is consist of two hundred thousand photographs was being rescued by Aras Publishing House. In the movie, she took a female client photo in her photographic studio. This studio named "Galatasaray" was inherited from her father and she worked in this studio between 1937 and 1986. After she transferred her studio in 1986, Yetvart Tomasyan took the studio's archive. After all the negatives in the archive have been cleaned and sorted by Tayfun Serttaş and his team, they were collected in a book which is called photo Galatasaray.
