Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of warm-up, massage and massage + warm-up (combined) on the range of motion of the joints. In this study 11 male students that were from Gazi University School of Physical Education and Sport, participated voluntarily. Subjects with no history of joint problems were exemined. Their mean age, height and weight were as fallows; 21.90 ± 1.44 (year), 179 ± 0.58 (cm) and 72.36 ± 9.94(kg). Subjects were applied following test prothocol; pre-test, 15 min. warm-up, 40 min. massage and 40 min. massage +15 min. warm-up (combined). After every test prothocol (right and left) body, hip, knee and sholder joints range of motion were measured by using sit and reach test, meter and electronic ganiometer. Measuraments were applied on the proper time for range of motion of joints is 1200 and following time. As a result of this study, there was meaningful differences between the test procedures. According to the test scores; - 40 min. massage and 15 min. warm-up (combined) procedure was shown significant increase on the range of motion of the joints of upper and lower extremities according to pre-test85 There was an increase on the range of motion of the some lower and upper extremities after the massage and warm-up procedures when compared to the pre-test, but this increment was lower than the massage + warm-up (combined) procedure. There was not significant differences staticticaly between the massage and warm-up procedures. As aresult of this study massage+warm-up (combined) procedure application had effected the range of motion of joints pozitively than the other procedures.
