Women in folk tales (Southeastern Anatolia and East Mediterranean folk tales examples)

Folk tales are one of the most liked folk tellings. Folk tale of, which heroes consist of animals, people, supernatural creature, events take place in tale country having being, born from people?s shored concious, having been come of own from tonque to tonque, from generation to generation, is one of the verbal folk literature work that some events as image work is told. In folk tales, one of folk tales heroes is the women. Also, women in folk tales becomes more foreground. In fact, the aim of this study is to find out women in folk tales, which is one of works of verbal culture being told for conturies in Southeastern and East Mediterranean to analyse them as catagorizing according to their feature. In societies, especially in Turkish society, women who have an important place are the foreground heroines. In this thesis after having been given ıntroduction about the definition of the folk tales, ın other folk tellings and folk tales ınformation about the place and importance of the women has been given. In later parts, in folk tales studied, women?s physical and characteristic features, their birth, social position, marriage, magical powers, physical environment has been evaluated by giving examples from folk tales. First of all, general information is given about every part, these parts have been studied by being divided into subtitles.
