Özet (EN)

In this study, 104 bacteria isolated from mastitis milk samples collected from 16 dairies located in 6 regions in Afyonkarahisar were identified by ribotyping method and the genetic relation was investigated between 77 isolates identified as Staphylococcus aureus by using molecular typing methods. By using ribotyping method with EcoRI restriction enzyme eight ribogrups were determined. Pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) method with SmaI restriction enzyme determined 19 pulstoypes among 77 S. aureus isolates. Although there is no matching between ribogrups and pulsotypes, a dominant pulsotype, G11, contained some isolates of ribogrups 2, 7 and 8 which have 98% similarity. Similarly, ribogrups 7 and 8 included some isolates og pulsotypes G5, G7 and G8 which have 97% and 98% similarity. In Turkey, ribotyping was first used for S. aureus causing mastitis in bovine and also both ribotyping and PFGE methods were first for genotyping of these isolates in Afyonkarahisar region.
