Özet (EN)
The most important and permanent way of establishing and maintaining communication among human beings is the written sources. The place where these written sources are produced is called as publishing house. The most important phase of pressing is the composition of the texts to be produced. There have been many methods examined since the existence of human kind. This study erims of researching the composition systems used till the modern times in a chronological order. The first method, developed by the civilications established in middle east, is the cliche press technique. But a distinct type found was not developed because of the complex letter system of language(Chinese). Pressing developed in the west by the contribution of moble types developed by Guttenberg and the simplicity of the composition of Latin letters.
