Özet (EN)

There is an increasing interest in multiphase motors in application areas where high power, high torque and reliability are targeted. Multi-phase induction motors are frequently used in locomotive systems, space vehicles, hybrid and electric vehicles, automotive, nuclear studies, military fields due to their high efficiency, high power carrying capacity, tolerance in case of failure, and low current draw under load or idle. Speed control of multi-phase induction motors is commonly done with the help of inverters. Alternatively, in variable speed applications, the operation of the motor with variable frequency and variable voltage can be achieved with the help of matrix converters. In this study, first of all, an inverter-fed six-phase induction motor was modeled in Matlab/Simulink environment and the speed, torque and current graphs of the motor were examined. Then, a six-phase matrix converter model was realized with the same method and connected to the RL circuit, and the phase and line voltages and phase currents at the output of the matrix converter were examined for different frequencies. In the next step, an asymmetrical six-phase asynchronous motor circuit was driven with a matrix converter and open loop speed control was performed and it was observed that the system response was realized quickly with the least error at different speed values of the motor under load and unloaded conditions. Finally, the speed control of a matrix converter fed six-phase asynchronous motor is carried out with a fuzzy logic controller.
