Forgivness of sins in Mâtürîdî

In our research, the subject of forgiveness of sins is examined and evaluated from the point of view of Mâturîdî. This research includes the concept of sin, the factors that lead to sin, the status of the sinner in terms of faith and blasphemy, the topics of repentance and intercession in the context of forgiveness of sins. According to this research, sin is the act which Allah does not want to do, when committed, it breaks the emotional bond with Allah. Sometimes, people can turn to sin by being exposed to internal and external factors. If the sin which is acting is not blasphemy or polytheism, that person is in the circle of faith. However, the person who sinned needs to be get rid of his sins in order to strengthen his bond with the Allah during his life. The repentance, one of the purification ways, is a need for the person. It needs to be certain requirements for repentance to be valid. It is hoped that repentance done sincerely, with regret immediately after sin, will be accepted. In Mâturîdî Kalam, it is also possible for Allah to forgive a sinful person through the faith and good deeds that exist in him, or through the intercession of those whom he consents to. Intercession is the truth, and it is only Allah who will intercede. It is believed that will be forgiven the sins of the person with intercession.
