Abstract (EN)

In this work, I have studied Mawardi?s book, named ?al Nukat wa?l-Uyun?, mainly its commantaries of The Companions. Firstly in the introduction of the theses, topic of research, importance of research, method of research, extent of research and bibliography of research have been discussed.In the first chapter the terms; ?tafsir? and ?Sahaba? that related to the subject are disscussed and analyzed. Then, The Componions views of the ?Tafsir?, their methods of commentarying the Quran, and elders of them have been investigated.In the second chapter, the Componions own comemtaries to the Quran that have been mentioned in Mawardi?s book, are being discussed, and the top ten mentioned componions in Mawardi?s book and their status on this issue are noticed. Also, some examles of their verse commantaries are given at the end.In the third chapter, firstly a genaral information about each of all the methods that were used in Mawardi?s work, secondly some information about how Mawardi used these methods, and lastly some verse examples at some companions? works that were produced by these methods. These methods: To commantary the Quran by Quran, by Tradition, by ?Ulumu?l-Quran?, by ?Qıraat?, by linguistic method, by a methods called finding evidences in poems, by the informations from Jewish literature and history, by specifying the verses, by clarfying the dates that the verses were come, and by some methods used in ?Kalam? and ?Fıgh? for relevent verses.Keywords: Mawardi, Companions, commentary, verse, the Quran
