Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is conducted to determine the seasonal fatty acid changes of blue crabs hunted from adana-karataş lagoon. for this purpose, 10 blue (5 female-5 male) crabs were caught in all seasons. Weights and carapace lengths of the individuals were taken. seasonal values of thorax and claw meat were examined. In female and male subjects, seasonal acidity composition analyzes revealed that palmitic and stearic acid from saturated fatty acids, palmitoleic and oleic acid from monounsaturated fatty acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, EPA and DHA were the main fatty acids for blue crabs. Similar to palmitic and stearic acid levels in blue crabs, palmitoleic and oleic acid levels in summer and autumn seasons showed similar results, regardless of sex and muscle type differences.
