The habit of entering the sea, which began as a need, has gained a different perspective under the name of entertainment and sports as a result of cultural changes over time. In this process, changes were observed in the field of swimming clothing, from the first point of origin to the present day, gaining diversity under the influence of fashion. In addition, it is aimed at differentiation and comfort in the types of fabrics used, and also plays an active role in the tests that can be applied in today's technology. As intended in the dissertation, the history of swimwear from the past to the present is studied, as well as beach wear products added to the product group until they reach the present. The dissertation consistis of four parts, and the first part contains information about the concepts of clothing and fashion. In the second part, the historical process of marine culture and Mayo is discussed. In the third part, the subject of the use of textile fibers in swimming clothing and the tests applied were processed, and in the fourth part, which is thelast part, the process of swimming clothing product groups from the past to the present was examined.
