Abstract (EN)

With the Republic era, the interpretations of the Qur?an which their numbers of having increasing day by day have started to consist a new area by means of Interpretations sciences. Especially Suat Yıldırım?s ?The Holy Qur?an and its descriptive Interpretation? which is one of the most important works in the recent times was in front of us as a work which should be studied in details. So we have aimed to present this interpretation in our study.Our study is composed of one introduction and three chapters. Information regarding the subject, scope and method of the thesis were given in the introductory part. The biography and intellectual background of Suat Yıldırım as well as all his opuses that have been reached are explained in the first chapter. The second chapter talks shortly about the translation of Suat Yıldırım and the conceptual framework on the tradition sense of him. Moreover the discussion about the translation of Suat Yıldırım is focused and the critics to and the answers of Suat Yıldırım are touched upon. The translation of Suat Yıldırım is analyzed in terms of methodology and styles; and the examples of using the opportunities of Turkish that Suat Yıldırım paid attention.The final chapter includes the short evaluation.The first of the sources to be referred to is the Holy Qur?an; the interpretation of Suat Yıldırım is of highest importance in terms of Hadiths, explanations, sources of Israelitism and the possibility of using the Turkish language.
