Abstract (EN)

Medicago sativa is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals (folic acid, calcium, potassium, etc.). Powerful and energetic for the body, detoxifying blood and liver, removing toxic substances, fighting against infections, a plant known to be quite useful for anemia. Turkey inflammation in the joints, are used against cancer in the United States. It is also known that M. sativa decreases menopausal symptoms in women by increasing the level of estrogen. In this study, Medicago sativa L. cv. Elçi (Elçi Yoncası) in large scale cell suspension cultures have been established by plant tissue culture methods. Formononetin analysis was performed on HPLC from calli produced in large scale cell suspension cultures. In addition, total phenol substance content, DPPH sweeping activity and viable cell count were determined. It has been determined that we produce more formononetin in callus we produce in large-scale cell suspension cultures, which we have made, compared to herbivorous herbs. The highest amount of formononet in the sample is 4.99 mg/g in 1000 ml cell suspension culture. Suspension culture with the highest amount of substance according to the total phenol substance results was reported as 40.2 mg/g in our 250 ml sample. DPPH sweeping activity the highest in our 1000 ml cell suspension culture with 51.36%. The cell suspension culture is again 1000 ml with 75% of the sample with the highest viability.
