In this study, we evaluated the mechanic and dosymetric properties of Elekta Synergy linear accelerator at Radiation Oncology Clinic of the Recep Tayyip Erdogan University Training and Research Hospital. Treatment planning of 10 lung cancer patients were created using convolution and superposition algorithms. The minimum, average and maximum values of the target tumor volumes and dose values of the critical organs obtained from the algorithms of both convolution and superposition were compared. Treatment plans of 7 cancer patients were created both with using and without using wedge. The treatment fields percentages administered 95% of the total therapeutic dose were compared.
