Media affectsthe driving culture in particular via news and advertisement. Throughout thisstudy it is researched on what kind of contribution media via news has on thesense of traffic and it is concluded that it has adapted a sensational approachrather than an educational one. That the form of news the media handlesemphasis or ignorance of the news items they do and educative views in termsof society the media place is also important for traffic systems. As per theconclusion this research reaches, the media is not the part of the solution butthe problem due to the standing point where it is about the traffic related news.Media should select the traffic related news headlines in agreement with theirviews more carefully taking into consideration the social traffic culture. Out ofthe findings of this research, it is disclosed that the media must be orientedtowards ?process-centric? reporting rather than ?traffic accident-centric? andnegative content ones.
