Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to draw attention to the concept of universal design that includes interior designers, city planners, industry designers, educators, managers and investors. Universal design is a holistic approach that allows most people to use all products and environments regardless of age, skill and conditions. This approach covers a variety of topics and systems, such as complex information technologies for product design, architecture, urban design, and environmental control. The important issue in universal design is primarily the user; therefore, the concept of universal design covers not only the disabled but all individuals. The main idea in this concept is to accept everyone as a certain degree of disadvantage due to age or skill loss, and to easily use the environment designed based on this understanding without adaptation. The main purpose of the universal design is to ensure that the space overlaps with the most suitable person. The task of the designer is to create convenient, useful spaces to meet the needs of the users in the best way. In this context, in accordance with the purpose of the universal design, the designer should increase the efficiency of the space, taking into account the needs of different users, and ensure that users use the space easily and reliably. The universal design concept, standard and principles give a general conceptual approach to the design of buildings and their surroundings.
