Angel investing and applications

Many entrepreneurs and company owners who want to generate new ideas need financing to bring their projects to life. It is of great importance for the development of their projects that they seek other sources of financial support other than their own income. For financial support, investors first seek help from their immediate family and friends. Afterwards, it is desired to benefit from banks by applying for bank loans. However, in addition to financial support for the development of the project in the market, it is important for the entrepreneur and the investor to be together in order to contribute to the project with the experience of the investors in order to provide wider opportunities. In this context, the angel investment financing model, which is a new financial source as an alternative to new entrepreneurs, has emerged, and entrepreneurs and angel investors need to cooperate. It is hoped that the projects will progress with the assistance of angel investors and entrepreneurs. Angel investors continue to work with entrepreneurs that they think are innovative and offer quality products and services. Additionally, they improve the caliber of entrepreneurs' work and teach them how to come up with original ideas by offering consulting based on their own knowledge and experience.In addition, while angel investors meet the financing needs of entrepreneurs and continue to provide them with support, they also contribute to employment, economic growth, and development. In this study, the idea of an angel investor is broken down into all of its parts. This is done through a detailed analysis of angel investors and a review of the literature on angel investors in Turkey and elsewhere.The ways for a project owner to find angel investors, their access to investment networks, and the general lines of activities to be carried out during the investment period are stated. Also mentioned are the criteria that angel investors use to decide whether or not to invest, how they help the entrepreneur, and how much money they make or lose after investing.A literature review of angel investors in the world has been made, and the status of angel investors in the USA and Europe, angel investment networks, the number of angel investments in countries, and their investment amounts are mentioned. In the Turkish part, it is desired to give information about the legal regulations of BKS (Individual Participation Capital), the situation of angel investors in Turkey, the general situation of angel investment networks, as well as the studies that need to be done for the development of angel investors in Turkey.
